I Think I Like You
Another summer and you’re the one on my mind
Your pleasant words and humour so kind
Now I’m certain, this demeanour is the type I find
I can’t help but think you’re the one
Its possible we knew,
but we buried the clue looking for flaws in perfection,
stung by seduction from scornful hearts, and lust
Maybe all that should have been, was making you first
Young, wild and reckless,
made our desperate hearts dim with all imperfections
Knowing we made wrong choices from the lonely nights and sorrowing
But now that we know the cue,
with the journey ahead still unknown,
here’s an ode, because I think I like you.
