Last Sunday at church, our pastor shared that this would be his first Christmas without his mother. Throughout this week, the topic of loss has come up. The holiday season can be tough especially when you are missing a loved one.
I’m not going to tell you not to be sad or not to grieve. Grieving takes time and we all grieve differently. From what I have heard and seen, the pain never really goes away. You just get better at living with it.
What I will say is that there are people here right now who are thinking of you, trying in their own little way to ease your pain. I pray to God that you are able to see and feel their love. I pray that God floods you with peace. Some of you are probably planning funerals this holiday or remembering a loved one you lost during this same period last year or in the past years. I pray that God gives you the strength you need to pull through this difficult time in your life.
This is me sending you love and light.
