The movie “Living in Bondage” has won the award of the overall best movie in the seventh edition of African Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA).

The movie was given the award based on judges decision as there were no nominees in that category.

It also received awards in other categories such as – Best movie West Africa, Best director, Best sound editor, Best cinematography.

“Living in Bondage” was unveiled on the 17th October 2019 and released across 52 locations in November 2019.

The movie was directed by Ramsey Nouah.

Other movies that won awards include:

Skin (Beverly ‘Yaz’ Naya – Best Documentary)

Moms at war (Funke Akindele-Bello – Best Actress comedy)

Tuntube (Muhammad T. Finisher – Best Indigenous language: Movies/TV series – Hausa)

Thorn (Bola Akanbi – Best short film/Online video)
